Road woes continue for Bearkats
By Cody Stark/Assistant Sports Editor

GREELEY, Colo. - Sam Houston State was hoping to win on the road for the first time this season.

Instead, for the second straight trip out of Huntsville, the Bearkats kept themselves out of a close game thanks to turnovers. Quarterbacks Wade Pate and Phillip Daugherty combined to throw six interceptions Saturday, helping Northern Colorado notch a 24-3 win in its final home game of the season at Nottingham Field.

“We unraveled again on the road, but I don't think it was as bad as it was at McNeese (a 31-26 loss),” SHSU head coach Todd Whitten said.
