VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (October 20, 2008) – Quarterback Anthony Glaud has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Rookie of the Week for the week ending Oct. 19 as announced by the conference today.

Glaud completed 8-of-9 passing for 165 yards and one touchdown during Delaware State’s 42-7 win over North Carolina A&T on Saturday. Glaud registered his first-career touchdown pass at DSU with a 59-yard completion to wide receiver Eddie Brown. Glaud was a key component in Delaware State’s season high 275 yards through the air on 18-of-26 passing. The Sicklerville, N.J., native has recorded 347 yards on 26-of-38 passing, including one touchdown and a passer rating of 143.28 in five contests this season.
Glaud is the future of this team.
Another bad game by Winton and we could have a QB controversy brewing in Dover.

He is a redshirt Soph. so we have him for another three years. I just want to see him get more and more reps and learn how to play in actual game situations. If we get knocked out of the MEAC title race this week he should see more PT.
