Florida A&M received permission from Georgia Thursday evening to speak to John Eason about the school’s vacant head football coaching position.
Georgia Sports Information Director Claude Felton confirmed the news this morning.
Eason has been the associate head football coach and wide receivers coach at Georgia since 2001.
Felton said that to his knowledge Eason had not spoken to FAMU yet.
“Coach Eason has been in team meetings since 6:30 a.m. this morning,” Felton said. “The team will hold its final practice today before breaking for the holiday
