Coach Hendrix again appears to have replaced an assistant coach with another impressive coach.
Wilcox leaves to coach RB at UCON.
Furman hires ETSU grad Corey Colder.
Colder has coached running backs at Davidson the last two years.
From comments he's also an elite recruiter.

In an interesting move, Furman has promoted André Bernardi to Associate Head Coach. If you're saying who is that, I don't blame you. Bernardi's other titles are Assistant AD/Director of Strength and Conditioning. Bernardi's work was on display with this season's football teams, physicality, and stamina.

Final note, this isn't a football topic but it again highlights the investment made in Furman Basketball. Furman Basketball has received a 10 million dollar pledge from Alum Ravenel Curry for the complete renovation of Timmons Arena.FYI that is the biggest gift in Furman Athletics history. Furman appears to have already secured 25 mill towards the whopping 40 mill needed. There are some accidental posted images of the design out there on the interwebs. My point here is Furman AD and the Furman Admin appear to be all in on Furman BB being a top player in Mid-Major Basketball.

Signing day part two starts today.
Furman by my count has 8 commitments—a few of those I believe are PWOs.

Per CCH's interview on Monday, Furman is leaving a few spots open for a few players that will be graduating in May and plan to be grad transfers.

Looks like our new coach and staff have hit the ground running. Snapped up a couple local fellas that were looking hard at a couple G5s, but were convinced to stay in the Low Country. I like the additions of a couple TEs.

Not mentioned here is a Grad Transfer QB as well, from Harvard. Not sure how he fits as an apparent pocket passer. But that was rumor on our board. Don't have anything definitive on him.

In any event, apparently lots of excitement in Charleston. Having a bunch of capable grads on staff may be what was needed to give us a seriously needed jolt of enthusiasm all around. I'm optimistic. Can't wait to see how our O scheme flushes out. I'm not keen to abandon the option, but at the very least a new option look, with some innovative wrinkles, is in order given the new pansy blocking rules pushed by the P5 powers that be.

Still not as good as Hot Hot Hot!!!

But how can you write an Ode to a town and not mention the BEST part about the entire place? He didn't say a single word about the 43 (this number has been verified by my 9 and 10 yr olds on two separate trips) different places to get a taco or burrito on Hwy 25 between the Berea Post office and 185!!! A Furple OL could eat at a different Mexican place before every game of their career and still wouldn't double up before their senior year!!!! And for Ol Fubie, I think I saw a Mexican Buffet!!!!! Now that is Livin on the edge!!!
I STILL HATE MARSHALL! Every time I see that movie, I root for Xavier!!!!!!!
