Did you ever hear the real story behind this, some of it is rumor, some fact, but the NFL approached Pittsburgh with this "deal" because they were winning all this Super Bowls and Pittsburgh rejected this America Team tag, Dallas was the next choice and they accepted it and so on and so on.

At first I was disappointed at the lack of FCS players drafted but then I realized that it's probably a lot to do with the spring season. Not many FCS prospects had any tape for the 2020 season so only the premium FCS prospects got a shot at the combine or a good all-star game. The fact that Rochelle was the last FCS player taken at #130 and there were zero FCS players taken in the last 129 picks just makes me think that those normal 6th and 7th round guys either didn't get anything on tape so they slipped to PFAs or they played this spring and decided to wait until 2022 to take their NFL shot.
I guess we'll see in next year's draft but hopefully FCS draftees can get back into the mid-teens to make up for the the freefall in picks these last two drafts.

No, I don't know about that at all but was just going on what you see as far as "Steeler Bars" around pretty much anyplace you go, or in your own town etc.
I'm not too much into NFL at all anymore (last 14 yrs. or so) but if you got a doc on it or something like that it sounds interesting.

He makes a valid point... although I'd be more surprised that not one player out of the CAA or Big Sky was drafted either. Top to bottom both of those conferences are much better than the SWAC or MEAC. I really hope that this downturn in FCS (and lower division) draft picks these last two years is more about the lack of regional scouting combines that had happened in previous years and will hopefully resume next year along with resuming a fall football season.
