RIP Don Sutton
RIP Don Sutton
Living the Dream
Dodgers were in the spotlight a lot back in the 70s and it seemed like Sutton was always pitching, Threw a lot of breaking stuff and had a reputation for doctoring up the baseball, I believe it was 1978 when he got busted and tossed out of a game after being caught red handed with a file in his pocket.... This is from a rusty memory
Announcer for TBS for many years
Ran into him at the Caribe Hilton in 2005 as TBS was in Puerto Rico for some Braves games, He was standing at a birdcage gazing at a parrot, I told him ....hey Don...I heard that joke you told last night about all the Burger Kings in Puerto Rico and he laughed but he never took his eyes off that bird
