Ok maybe I exaggerated a bit. I was awake way too long last night. But honestly given the circumstances I think last year was overhyped as it was. They got blown out by the 3 opponents who could handle them. Two things to mention about last season’s team. 1. They were working with 2 very inexperienced QB’s. 1 was a freshman, the other a Sophomore. 2. Aside from those San Diego teams that cheated when have you really seen Pioneer teams actually do well against Scholly opponents? They’re the misfits of the FCS essentially. Schools who either can’t afford to go scholarship football, have Title IX concerns in regards to setting up more scholarships, or are scholarship rejects who couldn’t cut their mettle even when they did have scholarships. I mentioned this in an earlier post that depending on how the landscape shifts in CFB, St Thomas would probably be in a position 10-15 years from now to be able to start scholarship football.Originally Posted by FUBeAR
