Nice synopsis of the past week/season. One thing to note, Eastern's inconsistency woes aren't related to the QB position transitioning. Eric Barriere took over after 5 games last year when Gubrud went down and he's started every game since then, as far as I know, including a run to Frisco last year. I know he was replaced last week (or pulled out for a time for concussion protocol, I'm not exactly sure), but I don't think they're transitioning to Talkington anytime soon.

Who, Barriere?? Again... I think we all learned that last year when he ran for 613 yards and 8 TD in 10 starts (44 of the yards did come in spot duty in the first 5 games while Gubrud was still active).

I just posted on the AGS Poll thread about EWU rushing averaging about 260 a game last year and Barriere was a good part of that for sure. Dual threat to the core on him. EWU has not been a pass happy team for a while now, they are balanced and put up great rushing numbers most of the time.

Their HC is the former RB coach, right?

He was the OL Coach and Run Game Coordinator...not RB coach.

Former Offensive lineman as well but I think his specific coaching position group was offensive line but was the running game coordinator so not sure if he specifically coached that group or not. Maybe kalm or another EWU guy can sort that one out for us.

Ah, there we go. Start a post and not getting it submitted while checking the information gets me runner up again!
