Parking is free, sometimes admission is too- or it is reasonable. You get close to the field. People are well behaved. And the games seem to go faster.
Hmmm...instead of sitting at home, watching my Leathernecks get bitch-slapped by the Bison on ESPN+ on November 9th, I could hit the road 35 miles north to watch Monmouth College and Knox College duke it out for the Bronze Turkey.
The two schools are ~14 miles apart, which adds to the rivalry. Plus it's at Monmouth this year, and their stadium is about 3 blocks from my grandmother's house. Might be a fun day.
