The thing is, Maine is good enough to beat the good teams. They are a solid sleeper pick but that kind of a win is a testament to how dominant they were.

Think about how good CCSU did in the playoffs with a 4th string QB against UNH last year. Now think about how much better Maine is compared to CCSU.

I don't really know how good Maine is -- was hoping to watch them in person at Western Kentucky this weekend, but my wife is forcing me to attend a wedding Saturday night.

I do know that Maine had a flood of emotion going for them last weekend -- last year's season ended with a home loss on a final play Hail Mary vs. Stony Brook; home opener; rivalry game; freshman player collapsed and died during a summer workout. Look no further than Maryland for the parallel of a middling P5 team channeling emotion to beat a supposedly superior team last weekend. Add the QB KO to the mix and UNH went into the tank. Only a little surprised at the ending; very surprised UNH appeared to crack mentally.
