    Top 10 Games - Week 8

Not a great week of games, but enough there to hold our attention:

    Honorable mention:

Cal Poly at Sacramento State - Elimination battle to stay on the fringes of the Big Sky race
Western Carolina at Mercer - Catamounts look to stay undefeated in the SoCon in a tricky road battle
Wofford at Samford - Feels like an elimination game down south
Presbyterian at Charleston Southern - Will Vandy effort be a springboard or could the overlooked Blue Hose pull the upset?

    10. Chattanooga at The Citadel - Lot of people think that Chatty is good, but it's time to start winning some games.
    9. Abilene Christian at McNeese State - Is McNeese a paper tiger again? They need to show some toughness this week.
    8. Sam Houston at Northwestern State - Let's see if that was lightning in a bottle or if Sammy has things straightened out.
    7. Sacred Heart at Duquesne - Early battle for a leg up in the surprisingly improved NEC
    6. Villanova at William & Mary - Tribe couldn't hang with UNH; Need to show some playoff mettle at home against these Wildcats
    5. Illinois State at Western Illinois - Feels like a trap game for the Redbirds
    4. Southern Illinois at Youngstown State - A must win for the Penguins given the road games they have left
    3. South Dakota State at Northern Iowa - Another MVFC where the loser will be in a tough spot
    2. Indiana State at North Dakota State - Can the Sycs bounce back from a tough loss to think upset at the Fargo Dome?

    Game of the Day
    1. Central Arkansas at Southeastern Louisiana - Hard to put this one above the MVFC matchups but it just feels like there's more at stake in this one. Arguably a must win for both teams and an interesting matchup of two teams that have the potential to be really good but just haven't quite gotten the expected results to date. Should be a good one in Hammond.

Outside of the valley, I am pumped to see if W&M can hang with Nova, or if Sammie is turning the corner.

Too bad Nova and UNH don't meet up in the regular season. That would be one helluva game

Chattanooga was up 31-0 at the half before easing off the throttle and settling for a 34-14 win (including a classy move after driving to the 5 yard line with about 1:15 to play...ran the clock down, took a penalty...and then ran it down to zero)
