INDIANAPOLIS—Terron Armstead is a small-school player who had a big day at the NFL Scouting Combine.
At 6-5, 306 pounds, Armstead ran a 4.71 in the 40-yard dash Saturday, the fastest time ever by an offensive lineman at the Combine. (He initially was clocked at an unofficial 4.65.) Offensive tackles are not expected to run faster than many tight ends, yet Armstead’s time continues a rise that started with a strong showing in the East-West Shrine game.
