  1. Re: Richmond Seriously Considering Leaving CAA?

I think fans and most importantly admins have to have some patience with the new members showing an ability to compete in Football. Albany is there. Stony Brook was there. Elon is well on the way....
  2. Re: WAC/UAC rumors that could have ripple effects

I guess the NCAA is not going to permit a FCS conference from becoming FBS. This doesn't bode well for the SWAC's long-term vision.

  5. Re: Richmond Seriously Considering Leaving CAA?

This was an interesting read. I suspect Richmond put this out here as a way to flex some muscle amongst the other member presidents. CAA Football does not want to lose Richmond. Losing Richmond would...

As much as I hate to put this out there...

The CIAA's WSSU plays their long-time rival NC A&T in Greensboro Week 1. With A&T's 1-10 record in 2023, gambling degens should be put on high alert for...

    Re: Rebirth of California football?

It's not what it's been. Talent in the HS ranks have left CA, especially LA. Outside of the top schools in the open division of the Southern Section, the talent levels fall off a cliff. 20 years ago,...

Re: The issues surrounding FCS QBs

I wonder if there are stats around if these former FCS players were on partials before landing a full-ride on a FBS roster? I bet that factor still is a major reason why we'll see our top QBs...

    Re: Delaware to CUSA

Not to mention, A&T now meets the current standards for R1 Classification (70+ PhDs conferred, over $5 million in research expenditures, almost $200 million in research revenue in 23/24).

    Re: NEC expansion

The allure of the NCAAT shares are a big reason why they aren't.

If the Dayton Rule was ever repealed, then that would probably happen with football and a few other sports.

Be glad that our Game won't be homecoming, although it should be -- Thanks High Point Furniture Market! During homecoming, those tailgate spots will be going for $500/space and sellout quickly.

RIT, along with Johns Hopkins and even MIT would be excellent adds for the Patriot League. So, if the NEC does reach out to them and they do accept, it would most likely be temporary as the PL would...

    Re: CAA 2024 Megathread

The only true obvious one is UNCW. College of Charleston is A-10 or bust and the other considerations have football and dealt with the possibilities of a A-SUN/Big South mash-up.

    It's unlikely....

    Re: Delaware to CUSA

I don't believe there's much of an appetite for a Georgetown vs Howard annual game. There's more of a desire for Hampton vs. Howard than that GU/HU one.
