If I remember correctly from when I lived in Chatty, the stadium's actually owned by the city or a city run board. Mr. Burke, who does a great job with the Lookouts, apparently has tried to turn the...
Heck, living here in Dover, I hardly see them being interested in their own HBCU games. I was surprised on their homecoming that the area wasn't packed three hours before kickoff on a beautiful...
When I was a kid growing up outside of Hartford, LEGO used to have their US HQ up the road in Enfield, CT. Every year there was a huge LEGO display in the local mall. I do remember Independence...
Kids? Heck, I'm almost there with my nephew.. can't wait
I don't know what this "infatuation" with Atlanta hosting the game is. As far as tourism is concerned, I haven't found Atlanta all that exciting. The bar scene is much better, but the attractions...
I've read through the entire thread and feel that those who say there's nothing to do in Chattanooga haven't actually ever been there. I was a resident for three years (including '03) and traveled...
Yeah, I think that was at the end of my freshman year in 86. However, that was a one time event and the only other thing done there on a regular basis besides football is commencement.
I believe that when Georgia State was starting to set up the program, they hired Dan Reeves to do it but he stated that he wasn't going to be the coach.
To my knowledge, the only thing other than football that's ever held at Delaware Stadium is commencement.
Heck, just look in the classified ads of the News Journal or the State News (or the Dover Post). There's always people selling them there..
All Delaware college tags have the school's logo and some abbreviation for the school before the tag number. However, in Delaware those aren't the prime tags.. you need to get the black porcelain...
Hockey plays a shortened period (5 mins, I think) for OT. If it's still tied, it's a shootout. Not quite like the NFL and not quite like the NCAA but still a pretty good solution.
Except the other two times weren't consulting.. got out of that gig after the first one...
Yeah, when I was working there it was shortly after the acquisition. You could tell which side people had come from by the way they referred to the company. Most in Greenville still called it...
That's probably the ONE building that I didn't work in. I worked in the old JC Penney store across the street from the Woolworth's (which still had the lunch counter then), several building on the...
Boy, I can believe it.. it's amazing how many times I decided to head up for a nice Sunday afternoon in Asheville..
Hallelujah!! That was a damned pain in the ass coming down from the North.. besides that and ordering a Long Island Ice Tea and getting a carafe of it...
Make that SOME Democrats.. not all of us.. We're not all buyin' the Kool-Aid
As a UD alum and former Greenville resident, I'm trying to see if I can make it down. I lived in Greenville from 1989-1991 working for Fluor Daniel and worked in most of the buildings around town...
It was a little worse over where I was sitting in Section 121. I saw one UD fan taken out by police, but there were about a half dozen ASU fans taken out from the grass. There was a Chattanooga cop...
I was at the Marriott as well when the team came in and appreciate the ASU fans who applauded when our players came in.
For all intents and purposes, half of Delaware's land mass is "southern". Once you get below the C&D Canal, it's much more like Virginia than it's like Pennsylvania.
It's been known how UD was distributing its tickets. The problem is that they didn't go on sale until 3 PM and season ticket holders get first crack (up to 10). I've gotten mine through one of them.
Everyone's focused on getting tickets and travel arrangements made. It ain't as simple as driving in from Boone. :D :D
