    Re: SELA’s coach to Lamar?

Frank Scelfo just announced on his weekly radio show that he is staying, which I knew was the case. Now to finish up recruiting and on to 2023.

    Re: SELA’s coach to Lamar?

For starters, I know he likes it here and doesn't want to leave. I suppose if we fail to make a good faith effort to improve salary and pool for assistants, anything is possible, but I don't...

    Re: SELA’s coach to Lamar?

Frank isn't going anywhere and I doubt Ron would take an FCS head job at this point. if he would, he would be an outstanding hire for Lamar.

    Re: SELA’s coach to Lamar?

Neither will happen but if Ron would take it, he would absolutely crush it at Lamar—especially with the portal wide open now.

    He’s not going anywhere
  10. Re: The Southland Conference - July 1st and beyond

All bets are off with the transfer portal, both coming and going, but the guys we should get back who were lost in fall camp or in the first three games due to injury will make us a lot better....
  11. Poll: Re: 2022 Playoffs Round 2: Furman @ #7 Incarnate Word

FYI: Apparently Kinne has officially accepted the Texas State job but will stay on at UIW throughout playoffs.

  12. Poll: Re: 2022 Playoffs Round 2: Southeastern Louisiana @ #6 Samford

We’re assuming coachspeak and he’ll play at 100%. But we’ll be ready for whoever plays.
  13. Poll: Re: 2022 Playoffs Round 2: Furman @ #7 Incarnate Word

They’ve made horrendous hires. Texas State should be a gold mine in the Sun Belt. Great campus, Stadium, recruiting base. Not sure GJ Kinne is the right hire but he’ll get players.
  14. Poll: Re: 2022 Playoffs Round 2: Furman @ #7 Incarnate Word

I reckon, just like last week.
  15. Poll: Re: 2022 Playoffs Round 2: Furman @ #7 Incarnate Word

I'm not smart enough or clairvoyant enough to predict exactly what's going to happen, but I wouldn't be surprised at a range of outcomes, from a close game either way to a UIW blowout. If UIW plays...
  16. Poll: Re: 2022 Playoffs Round 2: Furman @ #7 Incarnate Word

Your problem is reliance on Massey which is essentially tits on a bull.
  17. Poll: Re: 2022 Playoffs Round 2: Furman @ #7 Incarnate Word

’Just using Massey’ says it all.
  18. Poll: Re: 2022 Playoffs Round 2: Southeastern Louisiana @ #6 Samford

Zy Alexander No. 14. He had another pick 6 against Nicholls the week before—had 6 INT last year as a freshman. USC tried to flip in the portal back during the summer. Hope we can hang onto him...
  19. Poll: Re: 2022 Playoffs Round 2: Southeastern Louisiana @ #6 Samford

    We'll be fine.
  20. Poll: Re: 2022 Playoffs Round 2: Furman @ #7 Incarnate Word

A big crowd by UIW standards is anything over 2,500 and there's no atmosphere. Weird things happen there.
  21. Poll: Re: 2022 Playoffs Round 2: Furman @ #7 Incarnate Word

    Tryin' to help. :)
