DUMP THE SNOW BABY. DUMP IT ALL OVER ND AND CENTRAL MN!
I don't have a snowblower myself, but we live on a secluded cul-de-sac. Of the 6 houses in our little "circle", 3 of them have snowblowers and 2 of them have friendly retired grandpa-types who love to break out the snowblower and just clear off everyone's driveways (and sometimes even the road). If we've gotten enough snow that we don't have to go into work, then usually by the time I'm up and eating breakfast, everyone's driveways and the cul-de-sac are all cleared.
Usually we'll all stay home and my wife will make brownies or muffins or something and me and the kids will run them over to their houses later in the morning as a "thank you".
I apologize for bringing up football in the midst of weather discussions, but I was looking at everyone's schedules (the ones that have been posted so far) from 2020 and just wanted to discuss the "pattern" a bit.
Obviously UND will be joining the conference, so there's going to be 11 teams, which means that everyone will "miss" two schools a year, starting in 2020, so as to keep the 8-game conference schedule.
As it stands now, NDSU, SDSU, and USD have posted their 2020 schedules and (not surprisingly) it looks like all the Dakota schools will "miss" two of the more "southern" schools every year. So, SDSU, USD, NDSU, and UND all play each other, then each of them will play 5 of the 7 other schools. UND hasn't posted their 2020 schedule yet, but they're listed on the other 3 Dakota schools schedules, so there's that.
In 2020 (and presumably 2021):
NDSU - won't play WIU or SIU
SDSU - won't play ILSU or MSU
USD - won't play YSU or SIU
As near as I can tell, it looks like UNI is being lumped into the Dakota region, since they'll be playing at least NDSU, SDSU, and USD in 2020.
My guess is that UNI will also play UND and won't end up playing two of ILSU, INSU, MSU, WIU, or YSU. SIU is removed from the list because they already aren't playing both NDSU and USD.
Probably none of this is much of a surprise to many of you, but I figured I'd put it out there for anyone who may not have looked that closely at the schedules or whatever.
Honestly, I had to look up what a 2 stage snow blower was. I was making sure I didn't need to upgrade or something! Living in SD, that's all I've ever known. There's little to no use for a single stage snow blower here. Upon further research, 3 stage snow blowers look pretty bad ass.
