Hero Sports top 25 FCS RB’s
https://herosports.com/fcs-football-...ng-backs-bzbz/
I would say this is a pretty good list but admittedly, there are several that I have never even heard of. I need to study up
there is a fullback at Sacramento State that should probably on the watchlist for this list as well
So if you have a running back that was omitted from this list please post it up
Re: Hero Sports top 25 FCS RB’s
14. Elijah Dotson, Northern Colorado (transfer from Sac State)
that is a surprise

* Ford (Chatt)… #8 … check, could be higher
* Mulligan (Wofford) … seems low @ #22
* Saylors (ETSU) … #9 … FUBeAR will allow it
* Davis (Mercer) … #19 ..: hard to see Davis this low if Saylors is #9
* Bridy (VMI) … is returning to VMI & should be on this list somewhere
* Roberto (Furman) … big miss that he is not on this list … 250 lb RB who can house it from 90 yards away; watch him
* Ramsey (CIT) … #12 … transfer from VMI … hasn’t played since 2019 (when he led SoCon in Rushing), played in a VERY different Offense, and coming off serious leg injury. May pick up where he left off 3 seasons ago, but too much of a question mark for FUBeAR to include on his list.

I did happen to see Roberto in one game last year and was very impressed! He jumps out at you just like the TE does

Tribe triple threat resulted in too few carries to get attention but any one of these three is probably deserving.

There has to be more to that story. Didn’t Northern Colorado have close to 40 players transfer out
Re: Hero Sports top 25 FCS RB’s
20. Collin Guggenheim, Nicholls
this guy looked great in a late season game, power back

which one would you say is the best?
Imoh?
Re: Hero Sports top 25 FCS RB’s
I'm not surprised Hero Sports missed on Roberto. xeyebrowx
Stepping in for Devin Wynn, Roberto ran for 653 yards and 6 TD's in the last five games.
Gotta feeling he'll not be overlooked after this season.
Re: Hero Sports top 25 FCS RB’s
I haven't seen too many FCS Running Backs I'd take over Dylan Laube at University of New Hampshire. Probably not on this list because he's an all purpose back (3rd in FCS for All purpose yards) and gained less than half his yardage rushing. Also UNH had its worst season in more than 20 years in 2021.

Tough call. Imoh is a dynamic jump cut guy who is explosive in space. Yoder and Lester are bruisers with great balance and acceleration. All three have good top end speed.
Joining the mix this year is Rfr. Martin Lucas who is a 6'2" 245 physical freak with a 420 bench and 600 squat. He was the leading rusher in the spring game this year.

VMI's three-headed RB group of Bridy, Raymond, and Rice will make lots of noise.

Once they’ve graduated and started their law firm maybe, some legendary football coaching names on that list

McNeese was doing fine against Nicholls until they put him in the game. He is a force for sure.
Re: Hero Sports top 25 FCS RB’s
Cole Mueller of ISUr did this in 2021 fall with no pass game (52%, 125 ypg, 9 TDs, 7 Picks) and so-so OL play. He's 6'0" and 215 lbs ... and has put on 25 lbs since arriving at ISUr. Fast and strong enough to make his own plays .. quicks aren't great but churns his feet and reads holes well .. he's a grinder with some speed/power.
This year, we expect to have a decent (maybe good) pass game, which will only open things up more for him. We've got a couple other RBs we like, but he's the lead horse. If we get respectable pass game, run game should be very good for us.
Player Name gp att gain loss net avg td lg avg/g

Yes, But a small part of me thinks this guy might be a one hit wonder
Venus and Mars were aligned that night maybe

Laube is a talent for sure

Laube was #1 in the CAA for all purpose yards. Maine's two running backs Elijah Barnes and Freddie Brock showed they can both run the ball and only losing one OL should make them a good duo at RB. Brocks footwork was pretty amazing the 2nd half of the season.
