Re: FCS Coaches Poll 10/25
They finally killed the Gamecocks!
Re: FCS Coaches Poll 10/25
Not much love for Sac State, who lost at home to their #17 but beat their #11 at one of the hardest stadiums to win, before thumping NAU.

Still hanging in there with a little life - in the list of ORV, along with Delaware.

They are still twitching on the altar with the rest of the ORVs.

They got one good win. It was real good, but the others? A couple ok. But AGS has them too high. They got an easy remaining schedule except last game. We'll see.

Yeah, they'll move up over the next 3 weeks I'm sure but is UT-Martin's 6-1 with no real quality wins 11 spots better than Sac? What about #17 EKU's 5-2 resume with a loss to ISU-b, 3 one score victories over average-at-best competition and no quality wins? How about VMI with a 50 point drubbing by Kent State, a 2-score loss to your 2-5 Bulldogs and.... I guess the Mercer blowout being their best win? I'm not saying they're top 15, but they should be more than 3-4 voters not putting them in their poll at #22 or 23 from not even being RANKED. It's not just that they're T-23; it's that they only got 66 points, over 100 less points than EKU and about 1/6th of UT-M. Not a big deal, and not even my team. I just thought that was a bit of a swing-and-a-miss. But.... it IS the Coaches' Poll, so a dump truck of salt is in order.

All good points. My 12-25 is a mess. I think I got Sac around 21 right now. Their N Iowa loss, at home, and their difficult opener are on their debit side.
Since you mentioned it, I have to point out that VMIs loss to us was in a serious hard fought rivalry. Still not good they lost, but we played the only complete game of our season that day. Not to mention that their normal starting QB was gimpy and didn't start. Eh. It will continue to get clearer the next few weeks.

So you’re saying these chickens refused to go home to roost.

The fowl are sufficiently foul to not deserve any mention in the polls. The voters fail to recognize this.
