Gotta give it up for the SoCon Today. Clemson & USC both hosted big games with typical sold out contests of 80-& 88 thousand. The SoCon held their own with Wofford, Citadel and Furman all hosting very respectable attendance figures. Also SCSU drew 16,224 vs NC A&T . Something the selection commitee should consider when making hosting sites. xtwocentsx

Presbyterian hosted VMI
Newberry hosted Brevard
North Greenville hosted Notre Dame College

TONS of home games in the state today. I sat at the house. Sure as hell wasn't going to Boone.

I don't want to start this again...but no way there was 4,000 there for GSU, there were less there than last year and last year's estimates were that high

However many the visitor's side seats is about how many we had. I thought it seated 4500 so I subtracted 500 to guesstimate. You had a better perspective, so give an estimate.

I think it's 2k or 2.5k, and some change as there were some on the hill as well. there were 7k solid wofford fans there though, I guess we do play better in a predominate GSU atmosphere :/

No FCS school on SC draws respectable attendence numbers.

We made it to the game at Gibbs. On the trip home, we stopped at Fuddruckers for dinner, and there was a sea of orange from the Clemson game, with a little Furple sprinkled in, and we topped it off with some GSU blue.

Once an Apphole always and Apphole. I think if you add up all the student bodies of all the FCS schools in SC they wouldn't equal ASU's student body and yet you still lost to two of them.

Gotta go with OL FU on this one Apphole. You should leave Boone once in a while.

Per Wiki:

Wofford - 1,525 undergrads
Furman - 2,801 undergrads
Presby - 1,300 undergrads
El Cid - 2,100 undergrads
SC State - 5,000 undergrads

ASU - 16,137 undergrads
Clemson - 15,439 undergrads

ASU leads FCS in attendance at around 30K and we're bigger than Clemson, who draws 80K + as a smaller school. Go figure. xcoffeex

I may have been off on my estimate. CCU and Chuck south would have to be added in which would probably put the combined FCS total in SC over ASU. But still, I am guessing if you add up all the average attendance at the combined group (which isn't exactly fare but is more comparable), the combined attendance for our 18,000 students would equal between 50,000 to 60,000. Like I said not really a fair comparison. But at a total of say 18,000 students 60,000 in FCS stadiums in South CArolina is a pretty good number.

And Apphole is still an Apphole. the good thing about it is that he knows it.xnodx

youre a ****ing idiot if you think there was five thousand more wofford fans there than GSU fans.

there has to be some kudos out there for Western Fans that traveled to Boone.
GSU does have a core of AARP faithful that travel w/ those 3' magnetic tatoos of a Blue
Eaglet to their SUV's. School enrollment really has little to do attendance using the Clemson & Wake Forest success
stories. Even without a top ranking or a conference title on the line There will still be a nice contengient this Saturday of App Fans at Elon. And yes they will even ***** about the shuttle service that will provided
from their tailgate area to the stadium.
