I second the motion. Trees get healthy and play their best game ever. The Bison are the real deal, but the Trees pull it out by a hair. Congrats again to the Bison for the big win last week.

#7 Western Illinois (2-6 1-4) @ #3 Illinois State (6-3 4-2) Illinois State stays on track to become play-off bound!!
#1 North Dakota State (8-0 5-0) @ #4 Indiana State (5-3 3-2) NDSU takes care of business. Jensen will not be stopped.
#8 Southern Illinois (2-6 1-5) @ #6 South Dakota State (3-6 2-4) Its HOBO DAY! The OT(2) win got the blood flowing for SDSU. Doesn't matter who it was against, a crazy win like that will pump up any team. Sumner isn't bad either.
#5 Youngstown State (5-3 3-2) @ #2 Northern Iowa (6-2 5-1) UNI wins.

However, If the Missouri Valley wants the possibility for four teams in the playoffs. Either Indiana State or Youngstown State will need to pull off wins this week.

#7 Western Illinois (2-6 1-4) @ #3 Illinois State (6-3 4-2) Worst WIU team I've ever seen. 49 - 10 xdontknowx
#1 North Dakota State (8-0 5-0) @ #4 Indiana State (5-3 3-2) Way tooooo much defense for Bell to run through. 28 - 14 xbowx
#8 Southern Illinois (2-6 1-5) @ #6 South Dakota State (3-6 2-4) Dawgs by 10 31-21 xcoolx
#5 Youngstown State (5-3 3-2) @ #2 Northern Iowa (6-2 5-1) They've had our number! Especially in the gym they call a dome, our number has become unlisted 35-24 xsmileyclapx

Worst WIU team I've ever seen.
Didn't catch our 1-10 2009 team did you? This year's team did at least get 2 wins, one actually in-conference, but yea, it's kinda a rough season.

So, nobody going to pick my Leathernecks to beat Illinois State?...anyone?.....yea, me neither.
#7 Western Illinois (2-6 1-4) @ #3 Illinois State (6-3 4-2) - as much as I'd like this to go the other way, we'll be lucky to win 1 more game this season, and this one ain't it (the season-ending against NDSU won't be it either, btw)....ISU wins big.

#1 North Dakota State (8-0 5-0) @ #4 Indiana State (5-3 3-2) - both are VERY good teams this year, but I think NDSU's defense will be able to slow down Bell enough that the Bison will win a close, low scoring game.

#8 Southern Illinois (2-6 1-5) @ #6 South Dakota State (3-6 2-4) - neither are very good teams this year, but SDSU is at home, so I'm giving the edge to them

#5 Youngstown State (5-3 3-2) @ #2 Northern Iowa (6-2 5-1) - I'm betting that after putting 42 points up against us in the first half, YSU is going to be a bit cocky....and after losing a close one against NDSU, UNI will be ANGRY!!! UNI, angry, in the Dome, against anyone in FCS (and half the teams in the FBS), I'm picking UNI.

The last game YSU @ UNI is a hard one to call. If Rennie is hurt and doesn't play how many who picked UNI would change thier pick to YSU? Just curious as I think UNI's backup looked ok but didn't see enough of him to really tell. He did get flustered at the end and threw up a bad pass that was picked.

Western Illinois (2-6 1-4) @ Illinois State (6-3 4-2) ... The Leathernecks are just not good.
#1 North Dakota State (8-0 5-0) @ Indiana State (5-3 3-2) ... The Bison keep rolling.
Southern Illinois (2-6 1-5) @ South Dakota State (3-6 2-4) ... The Rabbits by a few.
Youngstown State (5-3 3-2) @ Northern Iowa (6-2 5-1) ... The Panthers are angry, not gonna lose at home.

Finally...a 4-0 pick 'em for last week which put me at 39-11 for the season. Could be a bit trickier this week #10...here goes:

winners:
Birds
Trees
Jacks
Panthers

I've got the Trees over the Bison for the simple fact that ISU is fighting for their playoff lives, and a win over the #1 team in the country would go a long way in their favor. Think the SIU/Jacks game could be a coin-flip. Should be another VERY interesting week in The Valley.

ROCK IT MVFC!!! xbandwagonx

IllSt -- They have been playing extremely well lately, and the Leathernecks are just not good
NDSU -- Should be a close game, but I think NDSU is the better team and will pull it out
SDSU -- Gonna go with the Jacks simply because it is in Brookings

Western Illinois @ Illinois State - The Redbirds are in the playoff hunt and they play like it in this one. I don't think it'll be close.
North Dakota State @ Indiana State - The Trees jump out to an early lead but the Bison battle back and win ugly. Bell goes crazy in the 1st half and is stymied in the 2nd.
Southern Illinois @ South Dakota State - SDSU keeps the good vibes going from last week's OT win although I think Sumner struggles a little with a tough SIU defense.
Youngstown State @ Northern Iowa - Even if Rennie doesn't play UNI has a good QB the team can rally around and they bounce back with a win.

Really interested to see how that YSU-UNI game turns out, since the guins are coming to Fargo the following week. Indiana St. worries me though, I think the difference in that game will be how thier D handles our O, since our offense is a totally different animal this year with the maturation of Jensen at QB. Last year we were pretty one dimensional when they played us, but then they didn't have Bell at RB either.....gonna be a tough one I think.

Birds - ISU is on a roll
Bison - the other ISU doesn't have the horses to keep up on either side of the ball
Dogs - Jacks don't have a defense
.....?...... - I have no clue here, YSU is on a roll offensively, but I do believe UNI is the better team overall and has home field advantage.

WIU (2-6) @ ISUr (6-3) -- WIU just is not up to par this season, but gaining experience. The redbirds win keeping their playoff asperations alive, with a show down with UNI in two weeks with a bye next week too.

NDSU (8-0) @ ISUb (5-3) -- This could be a very interesting game to watch. NDSU just played a very physical game with UNI and ISUb with a week of rest and possibly new found spirit could impact the standings. Many would like to see the bison fall, but I feel the trees will be humbled at home (hard loss to take).

MSU (1-8) -- Bye, well deserved rest and time to recoup for the end of the season, the only question is will coach Allen be around much longer?

SIU (2-6) @ SDSU (3-6) -- SDSU has the luck of the schedule being in their favor, but will likely be over powered with the potential talent of this SIU team. Both teams had tough close games last week, I feel this will be a close game as well and it could come down to who has the ball last. SIU win one on the road

YSU (5-3) @ UNI (6-2) -- This could be another interesting game. YSU has had their troubles with UNI since Tressel left. Additionally, UNI has won most of the recent games with YSU. Could this be the year YSU gets revenge for all those close games? With UNI banged up and possibly breaking in a young QB. Yes it could happen, but I will stay with the home team.
