When is the next year that FCS teams can schedule 12 regular season games? I know it is either 2012, 2013, or 2014. Thanks!

This next season (2012) if I'm not mistaken.

I am going to assume 2013 and 2014.

(because the Mocs have already released their OOC for the next four year and they have 4 OOC games in '13 and '14...when normally there are only 3 OOC's a year + 8 SoCon games)

2012
Sept. 1 - at South Florida $435,000
Sept. 8 - at Jacksonville State
Sept. 15 - Presbyterian

2013
Aug. 29 - UT Martin
Sept. 7 - at Georgia State
Sept. 14 - Austin Peay
Nov. 23 - Alabama $450,000

2014
Aug. 30 - at Tennessee $450,000
Sept. 6 - Georgia State
Sept. 13 - at Austin Peay
Nov. 8 - at UT Martin

You're getting $435 from South Florida, but only $450 from Tennessee (in their 100,000-seat stadium)? You should be getting more from the Vols IMO.

In-state game...really no travel expenses to be covered....if the game is a 5 or 6pm start it will be a bus in the day of and bus out the day of situation.

Exactly. Both Alabama and Tennessee are 2-3 hour bus trip games (UTK game will more than likely be a same day travel as clenz suggested)...South Florida is a charter flight.

FYI...

Per my KatFans.com post from when I researched said subject, "The next years for a 12-game schedule if the current rules are maintained - 2013, 2014 and 2019."

Why can't we have 12 games every year? More games = more money.

With the expanded playoffs and a 12-game year, a "last in at-large" could possibly end play 17 games in a season (I assume that has never happened before).

Colgate and Delaware both went to 16 in 2003 (12 game season plus all the way to the Title Game). I suppose 17 would have been possible, but only if you took a trip to Hawaii

Yeah, 16 has happened a number of times...but never 17.

2008 Richmond (13-3) and Montana (14-2) played 16.

Montana played 16 in 2001 (15-1).

You have two schools that failed to schedule 11 games this year per The Sports Network. Can only imagine it would get worse if you went to 12...

And you would probably see a few SLC schools play three FBS games if there were 12. Just ask Nicholls, who is doing it next year! They'd probably get to four... ;)
