Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011 — Former Albemarle football standout Denico Autry is now touted as one of the top junior college prospects in the country, according to the recruiting website scout.com.
Autry now plays at East Mississippi Community College, where last season he recorded 60 tackles and team-high totals of 5.5 sacks and 11 tackles for a loss. He forced five fumbles for the Lions and recovered three fumbles.
The defensive end has recently been ranked as the #2 junior-college prospect overall by scout.com.
East Mississippi, ranked #16 in the country, recently opened their 2011 season with a 34-30 win over #2-ranked Gulf Coast.
