It not football, but as athletic departments go (especially small schools/FCS)...its in the family.

Sorry to hear Appalachian State says men's soccer coach Shaun Pendleton was found dead today.

Thoughts and prayers go out to family friends and ASU.

Ugh....I hate to hear stories like this. So early in the season that I hope the team can find unity quickly.

It was a suicide... a friend of his told me that he hung himself. He went through a bad divorce this year apparently.

I thought that might be the case - 49 is pretty young to die of natural causes. A real tragedy he couldn't find help.
