"The October 15th Homecoming Game v.s Indiana State (4:05 CST kickoff) will have special meaning this year. The 1985 Panther Squad will be reunited and recognized. This team was UNI's first 1AA playoff participant, finishing the season ranked #4 nationally and coming an eyelash away from playing for the National Championship losing a close battle to Georgia Southern in the semi-finals. Coached by Darryl Mudra and captioned by Carl Boyd, Bill Bealles, Mark Farley, and Joe Fuller, this team set the standard for future Panther excellence.

West parking lot tents will host all team get togethers pre-game, with special activities to be announced honoring the '85 team.

All former Panthers are welcome as we look forward to sharing camaraderie with all former players"
