High expectations for the first time in a long time here in Ytown. Red-White spring game set for April 28. All GFC FB Deke Ison is suspended from the team for violating team & university rules and will be re-evaluated in August.

That's next season after we win the NC one more time this year. We thought we'd leave I-AA while on top, ala Marshall

I know better than that, but I'm sure FlyYtown will throw some your way.

As far as where to stay, I recommend the Boardman area. Nicer area with plenty of places to eat. It's about a 15 min. drive to the stadium. I'll add more later when I have more time.

GoGuins none of the Maine fans talk smack like other teams fans,:smiley_wi , so I won't have any smack for them.

Places to Stay: I say Liberty off I-80. They have the great Holiday Inn Metroplex and a new Hampton Inn.
Now if you want more fun and things to do, then stay in Boardman and take the short 10 minute drive up 680 into downtown for the game.

Eateries: Stuff all over town. Boardman has the new Youngstown Sports Grille which just moved near the hotels.. That is a great place. In Downtown you have BW3's and a few other new eateries. The MVR is another classic.

PM me when time comes up and I can get you all the info you need
www.downtownyoungstown.com has plenty of info on that stuff.

Most YSU fans will tell you to stay in Boardman. But if you do decide to stay on the Northside of Ytown, make sure you pack your bullet proof vest

Thanks for the advice guys.

Hey, just took a peek at your stadium. Very impressive. Hope it fills up!

The Black Bear contingent probably won't be quite the "tiny blue speck in a sea of red" that were were last year in Lincoln, Neb, tho.xlolx

Hey, please keep us up to date on the progress of Marcus Mason. He's local to this area and we're hoping things work out for him.

So far, he's doing an awesome job. He was Gateway Newcomer of the year in 2005.
