Samford Gets Transfer

It doesn't happen often, but Samford has landed a nice FBS transfer. Brandon Wilkinson is a DE who has transferred from USF. He is a RS-Fr. for the Dogs who was highly recruited out of Venice FL. He was a Rivals and Scout 3-Star player. Wilkinson had offers from 2 SEC schools, a couple of ACC schools, and many others. Scout.com rated him as the #54 DE in the country for 2010.
Hope he lives up to billing.

Holtz said BW was undersized for a DE and didn't want to wait to get playing time. Makes sense for him to go to a FCS school--his size won't be an issue and you'd think Samford would get him on the field. Good pick-up.
