He was URI's DC for the past 2 seasons and served in some capacity at Delaware during its 2003 title run.

Delaware and URI fans, what dya know about him? Any good?

Best of luck to former SBU DC Jim Gush, the new LB coach at Baylor

Nevaiser was on UD's staff in 2003 as a DL coach but wasn't the DC at that point in time. Nevaiser was later elevated to UD's DC but never coached a game as a DC with UD as he was dismissed from the university after multiple DUI's.

Neviaser is an excellent coach and motivater. Hopefully he's gotten his personal problems behind him.

Good reports and not so good. Sorry to see Gush leave but he is a native Texan and did coach at SMU. Hope his son stays with SBU. Pretty good receiver.

The not so good = DUI? Has he had any recent issues with that? Images of Hofstra's basketball coach come to mind...

How has his performance been on the field? He seems to have had good units as coach. Did URI perform well defensively?

Everyone deserves a second chance and his credentials speak well for him. Our recruiting class is heavy with defensive lineman and we return some seasoned players. So we will see what changes he makes with the new and present talent.

Best of luck to Gush and yes, hopefully this guy put his DWI days long behind him, especially if he is to be a leader of young men.

As for the mention of Hofstra, screw them, I hope the whole school goes down in flames under their communist president and lame duck AD.
