The Salukis will play the Hoosiers...and they got a nice BKB deal as well with it...

And Portland State will face a Beary tough opponent in Cal...

This will be a winnable (they won't be favored nor should they be) but winnable game for the Salukis.

Last year, Nicholls St played Indiana and lost by just one point...could've gone either way...

Wow, the Salukis going to Pine Bluff...is that a home-and-home? Here's wishing you good luck in them returning that game... ;)

They play in the Chicago Classic all the time, travel doesn't seem to be a problem and Carbondale is a lot closer (actually its closer from Pine Bluff to Carbondale than Carbondale to Chicago).

JMU beat Lock Haven 62-7 in 2004 and 56-0. I expect Southern Illinois to win big with them as the home opener in 2006.

Normally I'd root for a school like SIU if they played a I-A, but I want to see teams like Indiana, Northwestern, and Minnesota break through in the Big 11.

That aside, IU coach Terry Hoeppner (Roethlisberger's coach at Miami) likes to have easy nonconference schedules. Get a win over N'western or Purdue, and you may go bowling.

One more thing -- watch out for Indiana QB Blake Powers - he may have a good season.
