What happened today? I thought we were going to have a title game in Macomb next week.

With SIU's secondary getting shredded lately, I thought Barr would have a field day.

We had a first stringer and two second stringers healthy enough to play in the secondary, best shape we've been in back there since week 2.

Key stats: WIU -7 yds rushing, SIU 254 yds rushing, 38 min TOP, 6 sacks for 60 yds.

Found our next breakaway RB - Steve Strother 29 for 150 yds.

The o-line had 4 of 5 starters ready and played their best game of the year.

Southern played a heck of a game. They looked like the typical Salukis, especially the pressure from their LB's on D.

I'll ask this out of curiosity, let's say somehow, some way, Western beats UNI. Does it matter if NDSU finishes 7-4 or 8-3?

Yes it does. NDSU at 8-3, 5-3 in the MVFC, is in a tie for 2nd, behind UNI (with loss by WIU yesterday, no one can catch UNI). At 7-4, 4-4 in MVFC, Bison are a middle of the pack team, as is WIU at 7-4, but 5-3, with wins over UNI & NDSU.

IMHO, 8-3, Bison are in. At 7-4? There are other 7-4 (CAA?) that will be selected instead.

IF NDSU and WIU both win next week....I think the MVFC has 3 teams in.....UNI would probably get a first round bye and home 2nd rd game....

We need to win to get that bye. 7-4 doesn't guarantee a bye, and don't assume a home game with our financial strains.

NDSU at 8-3 gets in over a 7-4 WIU team, IMO. If both are 7-4, WIU would be considered before NDSU with their head-to-head match-up.

7-4 NDSU gets in over a 7-4 WIU team no question. I don't care about head to head. The one thing the committee has shown over the years is that they salivate over teams with FBS wins.
