Gee, I hope my browser doesn't block it - it may confuse it with an SM porn site with that name! :)

That site has been up for a while now. It's nice and we have a link to it on the Coastalfans.com site.

Hey Ralph are you still holding a grudge with The Southern Connection? I see they still haven't gotten their link back. For everyone else, it's www.tscsports.com

Was on this during the Campbell game on Saturday, but it seems to have been shut down since.

I think we have our answer … from here …

“One thing you probably won’t see in the foreseeable future is The Citadel Independent Sports Network. The longtime message board that focused on Bulldog athletics went offline earlier this week after a two-decade run on the internet.
Per a highly placed source, the operator of the site finally decided to pull the plug earlier this summer (because of prepaid maintenance fees, the board remained online for a couple more months).
That bane of message boards past and present, relentless negativity, was the reason for its demise.
There are many Bulldog fans out there, more than one might expect for a small school with sports programs that traditionally have enjoyed relatively modest success. It can be a pleasure to discuss sports in a message board format with supporters like those — intelligent, committed, and deeply loyal fans who avidly follow varsity athletics.
However, in recent years the site operator grew frustrated with the fact that sports discussion had often given way to almost nonstop complaining about coaches. That particular brand of antagonism had also driven away many of the longtime posters.
I have never run a message board, and I never will. Doing so requires time, money, a great deal of patience, some technical ability, and the responsibility of maintaining what is essentially a public-facing entity, one for which you do not completely control the content.
I would have shut it down too.”

I had been checking Spike regularly because if anyone would know, it's him. Pretty accurate summary from what I saw. Doesn't matter the sport, it always seemed to be a coach bashing site when thing went south. Lots of armchair coaches on there. I hated to even go there sometimes.
Some enterprising young stud will pick the ball up. May take a while.

Or you could just reach out to a computer science professor at the school and wave the ban/edit hammer like an iron-fisted tyrant.
Not that I would have experience with that :)

Not that I would have experience with that :)Those aren’t FUBeAR’s words - just to be clear. Those are from another CIT athletics info fan site. ElCid calls him “Spike.” FUBeAR knows what a ball peen hammer is; a “ban/edit hammer”…not so much.

It was from an article on the Sports Arsenal, owned, run and written by our own AGS SandlapperSpike. Very knowledgeable and who regularly provides buckets of data to sift through.

Hate the "Must Log In" requirement on the VMI Board when you just want a quick read.

You should join.
Some nice peeps over there; some with interesting tales. Always post a lot of good info about VMI Football also.
It’s nothing like the now (apparently) deceased CIT board.

Oh, I have been on there for a long time, especially interesting when Duck Hodges' mother was a poster there. Hodges' brother played with VMI for a short while. Yeah, and the extra click is not really a problem, just not commonly required on other Boards. Correct that it is quite interesting at times.

I talked to the owner of the site and obviously SandlapperSpike did too. It cost $30-40 per month to run plus his time and he got fed up with the negativity.
