Portland State at Weber State

Kickoff scheduled for 3pm MST from Ogden, Utah, home of the Weber State Wildcats. The Wildcats are coming off a closer than expected win on the road last week at Idaho State while the Vikings had Montana down in the last few seconds until the Grizzlies kicked a field goal as time expired to take the victory. The Wildcats are led by their quarterback, Cameron Higgins, who had his breakout game against the Vikings back in 2007, leading the Wildcats in that game to a 73-68 victory. The Vikings will counter with Connor Kavanaugh leading the new pistol offense. These two teams seem to always provide explosive firepower whenever they get together as the games have been entertaining and high scoring the last few years, going back to that 2007 game. However, both teams have been hit strongly by the turnover bug this year as both are the bottom two teams in the conference in turnovers. Weather may be a factor as it is forecasted for rain and wind, possible thundershowers and temps in the 50's at kickoff.
