PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Just hours after being named Southland Conference Special Teams Player of the Week, SFA sophomore receiver Gralyn Crawford has been named Sports Network/Fathead.com FCS National Special Teams Player of the Week TSN Executive Director Craig Haley announced Monday afternoon.

Crawford handed the 10th-ranked Lumberjacks an early 6-0 lead when he took the opening kickoff and returned 92 yards for a touchdown. The return, which was SFA's first return for a touchdown since the 2008 season, was the ninth-longest in school history, and was the first opening-game kickoff returned for a touchdown since Freeman Perry returned a kick 94 yards against McNeese State during the 1996 season.
