Worcester, MA - Assumption (2-0) scored 24 points in the first half before holding off a late-charging Wagner (0-1) in the second half en route to a 24-9 victory in the Seahawks' season-opener on at the Multi-Purpose Field. Sophomore quarterback Nick Doscher turned in a solid performance completing 20-of-36 for 209 yards and one touchdown while senior Justin Matthews was the recipient of a career-best seven catches for 68 yards, both of which paced the squad.
