A 30,000 seat dual purpose venue...

Of course, unless I am not seeing it, no mention of this on the BamaStateSports.com web site. The ball continues to be dropped...especially when they want alums to help pay off the debt. Hard to inform them of such great progress when it is not on a web site...

With a campus undergoing a major transformation, Alabama State University officials say now is the time to move forward with long held plans for a stadium.

ASU President William Harris said Friday during the initial meeting of the committee that will oversee the project that the campus is changing significantly and it wouldn't be complete unless the stadium, which had been talked about for several years, also was completed.

ASU already has a 32,000-square-foot, built-from-scratch football complex under construction that will be housed in what is now Hornet Stadium. The new field will support practice for the football team. The team currently plays its home games at Cramton Bowl.
