I was curious to see if there has been discussion on this topic before? I'm new to the AGS boards and am interested in finding out who plays for rivalry trophies? If you have any info please let me know. Nothing gets my blood boiling better than a trophy given to the winner in a heated rivalry! Thanks for helping me!! It's almost Thursday!!!

Richmond and William & Mary play for the Capital Cup. This year will be the 120th meeting between the two schools, (4th most in D-I football). The trophy name recognizes that Williamsburg and Richmond are the historic and contemporary capitals of Virginia

Ummmm . . . we can't find ours. If you've seen a "little brass cannon," please give a shout.

McNeese and Central Arkansas started one just a few years ago. And believe or not, the idea and the name orginated on the messageboards.

The biggest trophy up here prior to 2004 was the Nickel Trophy (1938-2003) seen in my signature...between UND and NDSU. http://siouxsports.com/football/nickel.htm

The 4 Tennessee schools in the OVC play for the Sergeant York trophy - best record head-to-head against each other takes home the trophy. It's in it's 3rd or 4th year now and currently held by *ahem* Tennessee Tech!
