Would love to see SLU outdraw the Green Wave...

My prediction on attendance? 28,000 listed...13k actual with 5k of that being SLU fans!

Get ready for tons of replies from the Wave faithful that the visual count isn't accurate, because most of their fans eschew the lower levesl and upper levels for the dark and hard to count mezanine section. Apparently, Wave fans are lazy, according to the rationale we heard last year when they tried to tell us that they outdrew us and that there were 33,000 people at the game. The mezanine section leads straight to the parking garage and you don't have to take the escalators or stairs...

The Wave fans are rather touchy about their attendance....

Tulane fans should know better...

Their high attendance figures stem from the season tickets purchased en masse by those in the Northeast who want their program to remain Div I...

Must admit, a bit disappointing with the SLU attendance last night...

Tulane's was not much better, but was really expecting 5k strong from SLU. Someone on the Lions' fan board said 3-4k, but I would say that is generous. Yes, the Superdome is big and people spread out - but look at the SLU sidelines, not as many as that.
