Are they good enough to knock off last year's Champ...Lafayette?

I can't see it. I'm going with Penn unless proved otherwise, followed by Harvard, Yale and Brown in that order

Head coach Tim Murphy doesn't think they deserve the recognition: "We appreciate the respect people have for our program and I think we've been picked 1 or 2 in nine out of the last 10 years, but the truth of this particular situation is that we don't deserve it...We don't deserve it because a year ago, even though we had a solid year and had some great kids on our team, we weren't quite tough enough and physical enough and good enough to beat the very best teams on our schedule,'' said Murphy, mindful of the losses Harvard suffered at Holy Cross (27-20), vs. Lafayette (35-18) and Penn (17-7), in the Crimson's lone league setback. In conjunction with that, you have a Penn team that returns 90 percent of its starting lineup from a very dominant football team."

Yep... Penn wins the Ivy with that defense.

Penn has to be favored. And I hate Penn.

Did I ever say that I hate Penn?

Yes, Princeton is in a re-building year. New head coach, new position coaches, new schemes....probably will be lucky to finish 7th. I wouldn't be surprised if our opponents all went half speed or even took the week off before the game with us.

Ignore the following.

2010 is the year of the Tiger. 1.33 Billion people can not be wrong.

Come on Dartmouth, get it done for President Kim. A winning season, that is.

A mild surprise. Like other posters, I had Penn penciled in at the top.

Did anyone notice that Ivy Media Day was handled via conference calls? How long before those Ivy worshiping cheapskates at Patriot League headquarters pick up on that?

I hope his first year is more like Dick Colman's in 1957 (7-2, 6-1 Ivy League and Champion, lost to Colgate 12-10) than Bob Casciola's in 1973 (1-8, 0-7 Ivy for only time in program history, but beat Colgate 37-21)

They are missing a nice outing at Springdale Golf Club or Jasna Polana TPC by doing that.

I agree that Penn should be given the pre-season nod based upon returning personnel. Harvard #2. Nice to see Dartmouth "movin' up"...
