In Durham fresh. check in today and the 70 or so guys who stayed on campus this summer begin the quest for another great season this year hopefully ending better than the past....
Interesting note - No true fresh. has started for NH in the past 2 seasons hopefully that will change or the players who redshirted will prove to be good players
*UNH still needs to replace a kicker rumor has it that a freshie from local hampton NH should compete to be the starter

Cautiously optimistic for this season. We could have a very good team this year. Very excited! Unfortunately I moved 1400 miles away and won't be able to make all the home games like I used to. :-(

Why would you want that to change? Teams love it when they are able to redshirt all of their recruits.

The Concord Monitor (concordmonitor.com/sports) has an article today discussing the Cat's offensive prospects for the year, and tomorrow will run one on the defensive prospects.

Went to the practice Thursday morning. The offense had the better day on the ground and in the air with the 1's & 2's.

Jellison looked good breaking a 60 yarder off tackle with the 1's. #30, Chris Setian broke two up the middle and took it to the house running with the 2's. He very well may be the back of the future. Terrance Fox looked good as well.

Coach Mac grew hoarse yelling at the D to raise their intensity level. Probably just a bad day for the Def.

They fed him the ball a lot, but he couldn't break one, but he definitely has speed, but a little on the thin side. The kid Setian is definitely a stronger runner, and can and will get you the tough yards. Speaking with Coach Mac, UNH has been fortunate to not have to play in heavy snow driven games. The Qtr final game at Nova was a first. They've played in heavy rain and wind, but never snow. Go figure. If UNH faces adverse conditions like it did in last years qtrs, they're going to need a big back that they can pound down someone's throats.

I've only seen two teams so far this pre-season (will visit JMU & UR tomorrow), but from what the coaches are telling me, and what I've seen so far, 2010 will be the year of the "O". Whichever teams gives up the fewest PPG will probably be your CAA Champion.
