Savannah State University football player Byron Leggett was arrested Saturday and charged with possession of a drug-related object for use, driving under the influence in a less safe manner (drugs) and driving too fast for conditions, according to Savannah-Chatham police.

Leggett, a rising senior wide receiver and graduate of Savannah High, was booked into the Chatham County jail.

Does the media in Savannah ever have anything positive to say about the program? It always seems that there is negativity for the SSU athletic department.

Doesn't there have to be something positive in order to say something positive about it? There was an article in the Savannah paper today about a guy retiring who is very high up in their administration and who had responsibility for overseeing the athletic department; some might say that would be positive.
