I don't think we have discussed this in some time, the possible move to having five years of eligibility for both I-A and I-AA, which would definitely have some sort of impact on graduation rates, recruiting, possibly transfers and a great deal of other things, though maybe it is a bit misleading when you read the ink below...

Keep in mind, the Football Issues Committee, which presented this proposal says "athletes should play for five years since most stay in school that long by taking a redshirt year and because the average football player in Divisions I-A and I-AA takes 4.8 years to graduate."

Perhaps this would really not factor in most cases, though it could for some freshmen and other players who are not redshirted because "the proposal would eliminate redshirting as well as hardship waivers for injury or any other medical reason. "
