would anybody like to hazard a guess at what woudl be the average payscale for a head coach at an fcs school? and the same goes for what an average assistant coaching position at an fcs school would be.

i don't know. just trying to find out. thanks!!!!

I've read on-line, or in newspapers, as low as $85K, and a few above $160K, for the head coach. I've also heard some 1-AA full-time assts. as low as $40K.xtwocentsx

Old Dominion's coach is making $200k nowadays...as is the TXST head coach, Brad Wright.

Most of the SLC coaches are topping $100k too, if not all of them.

I think almost all FCS head coaches are making $100k or more.

Assistants on the other hand are very low. I am sure there are assistants making $40k or even less.

Montana's head coach.

$155,000 base salary
$50-60,000 for TV and Radio shows
Up to $40-45,000 in bonuses for team APR, winning the conference, making the playoffs, winning playoff games, and winning the NC.
Free new SUV to drive year round
Country Club Membership
Summer camp pay

Possible potential in a perfect season $270-$280,000 in money, perks, and bonuses.
