A deconstruction crew spent a majority of Monday making final preparations for the demolition of the Williams Stadium football press box, before a crane began to tear the facility down late in the afternoon.

The demolition of the 21-year old facility is the first step toward construction of the new three-tier suite and press tower that will overlook an expanded Williams Stadium for the 2010 football season.

JMU's only moves once every 3 minutes! Why aren't we moving this fast? We could have 25,000 seats NEXT year!

The best thing about that webcam is that you can tell when they take breaks. It appears they break every 6 minutes, for 30 minutes and then get back at it for another 6 minutes.

I noticed that with the Performing Arts Center too.

Does Liberty really plan to have 60,000 seats? Or is that IF they decided to move up the stadium is easily expandable from the 30K in a few years?

The 60k number is a loooooooooooong way off. It's out there basically to say that if we get to that level one day, it won't be hard to expand. The 30,000 is what we intend to get to in the next five years or so.

Eventually you're probably right. For now though, we're trying to be the best FCS team that we can be.
