What is it with these last season I-A games lately? I don't like that at all (Delaware had one this year too).

Seems to be a trend by FBS schools, App has FL that weekend next year as well.

The Battle for the Jug that early in the season...that is killing an already dying rivalry

Do the teams have any input in that. If that is a SoCon decision it seems to be a big mistake. xnodx

The lack of competitiveness by Western is doing that. I realize they nearly pulled the upset this year, but eventually you have to win regularly in a rivalry. It's the case with any rivalry in sports. The game just isn't the same when one team has nothing to lose every year.

I don't like the ASU game that early either, but it is what it is. I promise you, the game is gonna start being more competitive. We need 2 more good recruiting classes. I'm stoked about our future.

I believe we'll see a trend of late FCS games from the BCS conferences for two reasons:

1. They will schedule the bigger OOC match-ups early as an early loss is easier to overcome than a late one.

2. The games will serve as a "bye" for the most part to heal any players that may be hurt or beating up a little for conference title games and/or rivalry games the week of Thanksgiving.

Anyway back to WCU, 4-7 or 5-6. Wins vs. D2, GW, Samford, Citadel. Improving but so is the majority of the conference especially UTC. Wofford should be back to normal next year too.

Yeah, couple of issues, I believe the game with GWU is 9/18, and GaSouth has their 2010 schedule posted on their website. It shows GSU@WCU on 11/13. Also, from all my sources, NC St is playing @ECU on 11/20...changes could have happened though.

True about GSU's website. Again, I got this from a website that is not affiliated with WCU so it looked weird to me, but I wanted to get it out there.
Guess Cat fans will find out soon enough.

GO CATS!!!

WCU at Gardner-Webb is on September 18, according to G-W's game notes this season.

Yeah, and I saw where Brevard comes to GW to open up 2010. Again, got this from Jackson County's tourism website. How they got it, I have no idea, but it was there so I just threw it out there.
