This would make you think that UNI might make it in over Weber or SFA...

#6 Elon
#7 Appalachian State

Why do people take Sagarin seriously for FCS rankings?

And to the James Madison fan that thinks Liberty will be favored next year in Harrisonburg just look at these numbers.

#13 JMU
#23 Liberty

No way Liberty is favored next year at Bridgeforth.

I'm curious on how these rankings work. How does Texas State drop two spots after the win against SHSU last night? Is it because of their ranking?

The Sagarin is all about who all of your opponent played as well...

Isn't next year's game played at y'alls place again? Due to our stadium expansion?

And I agree with you that at this point - without taking into regard who loses which kind of players (I'm thinking Daniels, Moats, McGee, Caussin to name a few and I don't know the Liberty players well enough) - JMU should be favored. Now if we'd be playing ODU that might be a different story ;)

I think Liberty is losing a good bit less, but we'll see. If it's in Lynchburg, I think it will be about a pick 'em, in H'Burg, JMU favored by 3-6.

The latest from the Liberty side is that it will be played in Harrisonburg, but who knows at this point. I would think it would make for a better series if it were the traditional H-A-H-A format. Is the construction at Bridgeforth not going to be completed in time for the start of the '10 season?

This time of the year I put a lot of stock in the Sagarin ratings, more so than any other rating. Sagarin has been remarkably accurate for Nova this season.
