JMU's really failing to put this game away after getting 3 TOs in the fist quarter.

TD JMU 17-7. Not a fan of the uni's. But I'm liking what I see from Thorpe and Noble!

Attendance???

I know the weather is bad, but wow. There were more people at the gym this morning than the amount of people on JMU's side!

The big campus event this weekend is a hockey doubleheader against New Hampshire. We are nationally ranked and UNH is always a top team. We won in overtime last night.

With the weather forecast for a nor'easter, all the walk-in money will choose hockey, and the students absolutely prefer hockey.

Not that I am happy about that, but that's the way it is.

UNH Hockey is terrible this season.

Come on UMass. Boost some CAA North resume.

Understood.

Well kinda, as I'm not a hockey fan.

End of 3rd Q. Score remains 17-14 JMU

UMass seems to have all the momentum here.

Neither team has any momentum IMO. Great plays alternated by screw-ups on both sides. Although Thorpe seems to get in a nice rhythm on this drive now.

Sweet. First win at McGuirk for JMU since 1987. GREAT hustle by Levander Jones keeping that UMass player in-bounds.

That was horrible pass interference on the final play, IMO.

That said, UMass looked pretty bad today.

True.As disapointing as this season has been for UMass fans,UNH wasn't able to pull one out in Amherst.I'm not sure what that says about The Wildcats.

JMU is now 4-0 against UMass and UNH over the past 4 seasons. Only CAA north loss over that period was to HU earlier this year.

Darn Hofstra. xmadx

Could you imagine if we beat Hofstra? 6-4 wins over UMass, UD, and Liberty. Not terrible for an outside playoff spot with how thin the AL field is after the top 20 teams...

Or what about if Thorpe scores instead of fumbling to UR.

Wow so close to 7-3 and the playoffs... I will take 5-5 though from what has happened this season.

Yes lots of what ifs, but then again a lot of what ifs that bounced our way last season. I am as happy as any about the fashion in which the Dukes have decided to end the season after a lot of agonizing moments earlier in the season. Let's hope they don't let up against Towson, would be a shame to see the Tigers get a "first" (since joining the CAA) vs. JMU this season.

Thorpe's last 6 games:

-----Comp-Att-Int----Pct---Yards-TD--Long-Sack/Yds----Effic
UR:-----7-15-2------46.7-----87---0---43----2-13---------68.72
Nova:--13-32-0----40.6----144--0---25-----1-4----------78.43
W&M:--7-17-0------41.2------66--0 ---18----3-8----------73.79

UD:-----11-15-1-----73.3-----262--1---53---0-0---------228.72
Maine----9-13-2-----69.2-----133--1---31---3-16-------149.78
UMass:--8-13-0-----61.5-----120--0---42---1-12-------139.08

Granted, the 1st 3 are better defenses, but wow, he has made a HUGE improvment.

Plus aginst UMass Thorpe had a season high 89 yds on 20 carries. Take off the sack, and it was 19 for 101. He was better on the belly option and pitch option reads.
