That ranking also has the Patriot League above the SoCon. As much as I would like to say that is true, these ranking are quite different from other conference ranking systems.

It also had the Big East as the best FBS conference in college football.

DetroitFlyer, using whatever rankings work to his benefit...

Based on the two things FrankTanks said, it's easy to show these ratings are not properly measured. Patriot over SoCon? SWAC over NEC? Big East over Big 12, SEC?

Don't Sweat it D. Flyer. All these rating systems tell their story and have different results. It would be cool of you all were being considered but being in a conference that is playing and having some losing to D2 teams is weighing down your "strength of schedule", as its weighing down teams from the Patriot, MEAC, and NEC.

Patriot shools havent played a D-II school in years, but most of our OOC is against the Ivies so our SOS stays poor.

Hey DF, do you know what the tiebreaker would be if Drake, Dayton and Butler all tie at the end of the year?

I already told you pillow fights. Sheesh.

The tiebreaker is the fewest points allowed in games between the tied teams.

Don't take too much confidence from being close to the OVC when talking about the playoffs. Get back to me when they win a playoff game as a conference.

Its been 8 years since they won a playoff game. 13 if you remove Western Kentucky.

Bottomline, PFL continues to improve. Marist has found the competition to be great, and our recruiting is getting better because of being a part of PFL. That said, PFL needs to win the GIC and improve its' overall OOC scheduling to continue its' climb up the rankings.

DF - Looking forward to 11/21!!!

PFL winner should be in the play-off field.

(OK, start shooting at me, but that is what I think).

True, true. I was just making a generalized point.

Well, when the PFL decides to ask to be a part of the playoff field, I'm sure that will happen. The only ones keeping the PFL out of the playoffs right now is the PFL. xpeacex

I think that as well. Schollys or not, if they want to compete with rest of us, they should be allowed.

I agree. The PFL has as good or better of a chance to get a W in the FCS playoffs than many teams have in the D-I basketball tourney.

If the PFL asks for am auto-bid I would support it, but they would have to stop playing 2 or 3 D-III schools a year as some are doing (Butler). xnonox

I agree, the Division 3 playoffs should be expanded beyond 32 teams so that the PFL can get their auto bid. ;)
