Former FAMU head coach Rudy Hubbard remember the 16-13 Rattlers win like this, "When we played them, we didn't catch them. That year we on that game, we beat them. Like I said, it was hard hitting on both sides, and I think Florida A&M has an excellent football team, and if they win that game, it won;t be that they caught Miami. It will be because Florida A&M has a better team."

I didn't realize FAMU ever beat Miami. Sweet. The Miami victory was the year after FAMU won the 1st 1AA Championship. That's on the scale of App St beating Michigan. That was a big transition era for college football. Was FAMU division 1 or II prior to creating 1AA?
