The way the defenses are playing this year they would both be over 100. I don't think either team would be heavy favorites.

Pretty much. Bison had it down to the 8 and the ref throws a flag literally 30 yards on the other side of the field (just going off what the radio guys said) behind the play and calls a personal foul for hitting a player out the play. Grade A Bull****!

It doesn't matter if the guy was 30 yards behind the play, he was out of bounds and you can't do that

But the Bison held when they made a 45 yard FG so they only have themselves to blame. I'm a little calmer now :D. Jesus what a sad time to be a Bison fan.

No and you know what? I kind of hope we lose so Bohl gets fired. Just really terrible coaching. No discipline at all. We got a field goal called back and a 3rd and goal on the 4 with 12 in the huddle. Enjoy the Marker for another year.

I don't think you'll blow past Cal Poly. They are a tough team every year.

Watched this one online. It's the first time I have seen NDSU this year. Before, I thought NDSU fans were being too tough on their team. Now, I'd say it's all justified.

NDSU's defense is awful. The offense is better, but not a lot better. I'd be pretty frustrated now if I was an NDSU fan. If you can't play defense better than that at home, against ISU, on homecoming, heaven help you when you play UNI next week and then at SDSU.

I texted a guy from Bisonville and he said the last penalty call was legit, taunting. Why in the hell would you taunt someone when you've played like that?

This. I was sure NDSU fans were being a little harsh on their team, but man alive, after watching that on channelsurfing, I can see it was mostly true. Save for Paschall on offense and Preston Evans on defense, the Bison look pretty sickly.

It doesn't matter if the last penalty on the Bison was bogus. The fact that the game could be decided on a play like that is testament to the lack of leadership and swagger that this team has (or doesn't have).

Even if that penalty wouldn't have been called, this game would've been a "moral loss" to quote the more zealous of my fan base. The game should've never came down to that. The Bison deserved to lose on a bogus call. There are a lot of guys in that locker room tonight who are going to have to look at themselves and decide whether or not they are true competitors. If there is not a serious shakeup on this team soon you're looking at a 2-9 squad.

It's sad that a team could fall so far in 2 years.xsmhx

He could've posted that numerous times last year or several time already this year. This Bison have not been a difficult target to smack over the last several months.

I don't agree with that. The 2007 Bison wiped the Fargodome carpet with Illinois St. This team is a shell of it's former self.

I don't think anyone is really questioning the call, but rather the actions of someone that far behind the play doing something that stupid.

Congrats Redbirds. Your QB absolutely shredded up the Bison secondary.

That very well could be, but you can't account for the conference being better for the difference that I've seen on the field... and I have been paying atttention. This year's team deserved to lose this game... no excuses can change that.

No were down. The biggest surprise for me this year was SIU didn't beat us by 30+. I actually thought our D had it turned around a little after that game. Boy was I wrong. ILL St. had guys running open in the secondary all day long. We are OK against the run but horrible, and I mean horrible against the pass..

Nothing against Ill St. but they are not a very good football team. they are a min of 1-2 years away..then this is a different conversation..

We've had a season with it, but it's still a new offense run by someone else's recruits. We're improving weekly, but over the season it's the defense that will have to carry us.
