Will JMU be preparing for the big boys with a solid game this week?

Will Hofstra show they are still at least middle of the pack in the CAA?

I will be there and leaning toward JMUxthumbsupx!

JMU will have plenty of time in the coming weeks to make some noise in the conference and nationally. This week, they just have to take care of business. Road games up north have always been a little of hot and cold over the years (UMASS loss '05 and UNH win '06). The Dukes must get off to a good start or the game may remain close.

The conditions look to be another wet one similar to last week so don't look for JMU to throw the ball hardly if at all. Hofstra is missing their top RB and so is JMU. However JMU's back-ups could easily be the starter. With more of a mythodical game, don't look for a ton of scoring unless the Hofstra defense just has absolutely no answer. Hofstra must get their run game going again to keep the JMU defense honest and the score close.

Prediction: If the poor weather holds true, JMU wins but not as emphatically as most think.

Good assessment. If the HU offense lives up the way they have been playing, it'll be a long day for the defense. We can't have another Richmond where our QB put the ball on the ground three times and gave UR a short field all day.

Last week the HU defense made plays while the offense actually held a brief 10-3 lead at Western Michigan. D continued to play a bend don't break the whole game and actually looked pretty good IMO. The offense or more like the OC and QB went in the *****ter in half number two missing out on several big play opportunities.

While i would love to say HU has a shot at a HUGE upset, under this coaching regime, i think not. See you at the game, hopefully we at least stay dry.

I'm hoping the real JMU shows up, but yea, we traditionally don't travel well. I was happy with how we handled the monsoon last weekend though, which kinda represented what we are used to playing in at Maine (where we tend to struggle).

Anyway.... I'm not hoping for a close game, but I have a feeling it will be for a while.

No.... I don't know that.

Its horrible weather, again, and we just plain old do not look good at all. Someone has to step up, but flip flopping qb's like we continue to do kills any momentum and hofstra's defense is actually playing pretty well against the run.

So yea, I'd like to think we can step up and make this 30-14 in a few drives, but we will see
