CSN Down South: Moses Stands Tall for Stephen F. Austin

Before the season, the biggest knock on Stephen F. Austin’s chances to compete for a Southland Conference crown centered around its quarterback.

Junior Jeremy Moses, who entered the top 10 in SLC history for career passing yards this past weekend had a problem. During his first two seasons in Nacogdoches, his touchdown to interception ratio was less than ideal.

During his two years behind center entering the season, Moses had thrown 47 touchdowns to 27 interceptions. While the yards were there and the scores surely were, the native of Baytown, Texas struggled to consistently keep the ball with his squad.

Even a defense with All-American candidates Jabara Williams and Tim Knicky could not protect the short field they were dealt and the Jacks were the most likely team from week to week to get involved in an all-out shootout.

This year, times have changed. They were not supposed to either.
